Thank you 2015!

While there will be many  posts about upcoming sales, gift guides and the general frenzy that comes with the Christmas season I have decided to take a different approach. This will be my last post for 2015 where I want to take the opportunity to thank you all for supporting me and my blog, for leaving comments here, on Instagram where most people think I live (can’t blame you!) and for all the beautiful connections I have made and keep making with people and brands the world over. The holidays are bustling with activities as they are that I feel I want to focus on the here and now.

This year has been one filled with much sorrow and strife and we still have a bit to go…wherever you are in the world, whatever situation you find yourself in, I hope there is still love and light in your lives. We can’t always be the person we want to be or be with the people we want to be with, but with the festive season coming up I know this time of year isn’t always a happy one…a calm or safe one. So let’s love and hold those we cherish just a little harder, just a little tighter…and also give a thought to those who, for whatever reason have left us but came into in our lives for a deeper meaning we may not yet know or understand. With each passing year, the truth that it’s not the things that we can see that fill us but the things we feel that do, rings ever truer…and love is the strongest medicine that we can give and receive. Don’t be shy with it, shallow with it, ugly or manipulative with it…it is the greatest gift to feel genuine love and the world needs more of it.

So departing from my usual reviews I want to thank everyone for the love I have received through our connections. The internet can be a harsh place but it can be equally beautiful and inspiring too…let’s all keep making fairy dust and rainbows. I may be checking out of my blog for this year but I will be back in January and when I do, I have a special surprise planned to celebrate that I turn the grand old age of 33 along with my blog that turns 2. In the meantime, I’ll still be social over on Instagram so I’ll see you there!

To you all, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Love, light and gratitude

aaaaw Nic, what a beautiful post. Holiday is a crazy time, but we need to focus on the real things : the people we love. I’m grateful to all the connection i made on social media this year, including you Nic. Internet, social media can be positive and we can have genuine connection with people around the globe who share the same passion and values than us. Have a great holiday time with your family, talk to you on Instagram 🙂 xx Julie

Thank you Julie for your kind words. And thank you for the connection we have and for all the kindness you’ve shown me this year and all the generosity. I’m so grateful that our paths crossed and none of it would have been possible without technology. I wish you a beautiful holiday with your big family and a continued smooth pregnancy :3 See you on Insta! Xxx

My dear Nic, after two years of blogging, I’m grateful to have had the chance to connect with you, because you’re a genuinely beautiful soul, and I cherish our friendship <3 I wish you a gleeful holiday filled with laughter and special moments with your loved ones. See you on Instagram 😉

Thank you loveliest Liz. I will never forget that you were the first blogger who so warmly welcomed me into the green beauty community fold, who connected with me and made blogging ‘real’…for that I am eternally thankful and you’ll always have a special place in my heart. I often think about that when new bloggers enter the scene and I hope I am extending even a tenth of the courtesy and warmth you showed me. YOU are a beautiful soul and I cherish our friendship very much. Sending you lots of love and hugs my beautiful lipstick guru! Xx

A beautiful post Nic xx I particularly resonate with it this year as we will be celebrating Christmas with a few less people than before 🙁 Love is indeed what matters, and the people we hold dear. Enjoy the break away from your lovely blog and enjoy the festivities. I know we don’t link up much on social media, however I’ve always been struck by your kindness and how genuine you are. Take care lovely xx

    • caprinic says:

Wow, thank you for such kind words Charlie. They went straight to the heart. I’m sorry to hear you’ll be a few less this year….but remember them and be thankful for the times you had. I’ll be back in January but in the meantime I plan to just finish the work I have going on, relax in the evenings and fully enjoy being with (not all) the people I love. Wishing you a love filled and beautiful holiday season. Thank you for the love and support of the past year. I’m truly grateful. Xx
