OrgaNic Obsessions Birthday + Giveaway

Friday the 13th of February marked my blog’s first birthday!  I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone and how from having 0 readers I now have 111!  To me, it’s a bit crazy as I didn’t set out to gain readers, rather it was just a fun thing to do for myself and if anyone stopped by for a read, well, then that was simply a bonus. I am sincerely grateful to all of you who follow my blog and I thank you for your patience since I don’t post quite as often as others.  Still keeping to my manageable monthly quota!

To celebrate that my blog is still alive and kicking and more importantly to celebrate all you lovely people who have supported it and inspired me to keep going, I decided to host my very first giveaway!  Since you all know how much I love buying my green beauty products from Alice & White I thought it would be most fitting to share this love with one lucky winner with a gift card worth 500 SEK (ca. $59/£39/€52).  Alice & White has grown since its inception and is home to brands such as May Lindstrom, RMS Beauty, Bodhi & Birch, Aurelia, NEOM Organics (the Happiness candle and reed diffuser are simply heavenly!) and many more; I’ve no doubt there is something to suit everyone’s taste and budget.  This gift card is bought by yours truly and the giveaway is open internationally; there’s no way I could keep this one within such a silly thing as country borders!  I have asked that the gift card code be sent to me instead of having the card shipped physically so the winner will receive a code to their email which can be redeemed online.  This way the winner can start shopping pronto and it’s good for the environment!

So you know what to do green beauty bunnies!  Fill in the Rafflecopter below and I wish you all the best of luck.  Thank you again for all your kind words during my first blog year, for sharing your tips, tricks and thoughts with me here and on other social media platforms; my blog experience wouldn’t be the same without you.  My life wouldn’t be the same!  The connections I have made since starting OrgaNic Obsessions have been special, enriching and so inspiring. So big big thank you.

A special mention to Liz of Smells Like A Green Spirit who so kindly guided me through the technicalities of my first Rafflecopter giveaway.  So not only is she a lipstick guru but also a tech whiz.  Can’t say I’m surprised, she’s a woman of many talents!  Thank you dear Liz!

*Giveaway begins Sunday, February 15 and ends Sunday, February 22nd (12 AM GMT+1) and is open internationally. Prize provided by me. All information provided by entrants is confidential and won’t be shared to other third parties. Winner will be contacted by email/social medias when the giveaway ends. If no response is received from the selected winner 24 hours after the email/message is sent, another winner will be randomly picked.  Good luck!*

Thank you Jeanette! And thank you for your support! Oooh, yes that’s one I haven’t tried yet but my sister has used both the face oil and body oil and loves them both. Good choice!

Congrats to a year of blogging Nic!! So glad to meet you through the world of blogging <3
If I won, I'd probably go for one of the Neom diffusers. I have the Cocoon Yourself Neom Candle and absolutely adore it.

Thank you babe! Likewise, so happy to have connected with you through our blogs and other social media 🙂 Excellent choice! If you like light fresh scents I can totally recommend the Happiness diffuser. I got it for my sister as a xmas present and it is divine. Planning on getting one for our flat as well 🙂 xx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you Ana and what a marvelous choice!! I love the Honey Mud and can’t wait to restock. Just need to finish up some other items first 😉 xx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you Shirley, it’s gone super quickly! Yes, May Lindstrom is a given and Pai has some lovely gems too, their Instant Calm Serum and rosehip oil for example. Good choice! Xx

I’ve only just started blogging myself and it inspires me to read other “newbies” out there.

I’d love to try something from May Lindstrom’s or Pai’s range. I’ve just moved to a city with zero green beauty options so I have to order absolutely everything I want online.

    • caprinic says:

Welcome to the wonderful world of blogging Andrea! I hope it’s as enriching and inspiring to you as it’s been to me 🙂 May or Pai, both are great choices even though I’d personally not hesitate and get something from May’s exquisite collection. There’s something very very special about her line and I can strongly recommend the Honey Mud or the Jasmine Garden 🙂 Good luck!

    • caprinic says:

Thank you for your kind words Isabel 🙂 I highly recommend any kind of May Lindstrom purchasing, in fact I encourage it! The Problem Solver is a really good purifying mask especially coupled with the Honey Mud if your skin is on the sensitive side. The Problem Solver will last you ages as well if you use it once/week.

Happy first blog-bday Nic!!! How wonderful it has been to e-know you 🙂 I would probably stock up on your favorite Aurelia products from Alice and White and try out some Bodhi and Birch–have heard wonderful things about those salt scrubs!

    • caprinic says:

Thank you lovely Jade! :3 Likewise, love connecting with you 🙂 Haha, you should definitely go for Aurelia! Missing their cream cleanser and night oil…and don’t get me started on their body oil! Bodhi & Birch is wonderful too, especially their Shower and Bath Gel series. Oh and the Rosemary scrub (which I finished yesterday, wail!) is gorgeous. Good luck! Xx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you so much Caitie! Oooh Aurelia is just one of my favourite brands, have tried nearly the whole range and there’s been nothing I haven’t liked. Everything smells gorgeous too. From Balance Me I’ve really liked the SPF Moisturiser and Radiance oil 🙂 Good luck! Xx

I only just saw your super sweet message on instagram, and now this adorable mention, you made my night! Nic, it’s my absolute pleasure, you know that I adore you. You spread kindness and cheerfulness, and it’s been amazing witnessing your blog grow, because you deserve it! I’d get The Honey Mud, since it’s because of you that I tried a sample 😉 xx

    • caprinic says:

And you know that I adore you! Thank you so so much for your constant support and encouragement the past year and you honestly set the stage for all that came through and still comes through the green beauty community with your kindness and generosity. I can’t imagine not being a part of it now. You’re simply the best (cue Tina Turner…I know you’re singing it!) And you make a wise decision in choosing the Honey Mud :)) Good luck lovely Liz! Xx

  5. Ali P. says:

Hi Nic! Thanks for the awesome giveaway and congrats on an awesome year of blogging! I love reading your posts and can’t wait to read more 🙂

I would love to try Aurelia – I’ve read so many great things about the brand.

    Congrats again!

    • caprinic says:

Thank you for your kind words Ali, it’s lovely to know that despite not writing as often I am still reaching out 🙂 Aurelia is a gorgeous brand indeed, both in terms of effectiveness and olfactory goodness so you won’t be disappointed. Good luck! Xx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you! The Pai Rosehip is a good one, using it as my night oil at the moment but it does break some people out. Good luck!

  6. Jana says:

Again, congrats on one year beautiful!! 😀 Thank you for this gorgeous giveaway!<3 Hmm that's a difficult question, maybe something from Bodhi&Birch, Pai or May Lindstrom 🙂 xx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you gorgeous! Have loved connecting with you this past year :)) Hehe, these 3 brands along with Aurelia seem to be the top favourites. Not a surprise really! Any product from them would be heavenly. Fingers crossed and good luck! Xx

Happy 1st Blog Birthday, Nic! xo I’m sure we’ll see many more birthdays in the coming years 🙂 I haven’t been regular in commenting here (or anywhere actually) but I hope to change that! And it’s only befitting to see a giveaway in tandem with Alice and White <3 Thank you for the generosity! xo

    • caprinic says:

Thank you Ruhi and I hope so! Enjoying the blogging experience so far anyway 🙂 Don’t worry, I go through periods of not commenting either (not a fan of doing so on my mobile as something always goes wrong but I often catch up on my blog reading on my way home so…) so don’t feel bad! Yes, I thought it very befitting to have my first giveaway related to Alice & White somehow! Plus the winner gets to choose what they themselves really want so it’s a win-win 🙂 Good luck! Xx

      • Ruhi says:

Yes, it’s awfully difficult to comment using a cell phone or iPad! 🙂 Love the idea of the Gift Card for the exact reason you mentioned above! xo Alice & White has such a fab collection that everybody can find something they really like. :* Congrats again, lovely.

  8. ginger says:

happy 1st blogging birthday! so hard to choose! I think I would get May Lindstrom Jasmine mist…I haven’t tried any of her products yet 🙂

    • caprinic says:

Thank you! Hihi, I don’t blame you for having indecision 🙂 Any May Lindstrom product is divine; my personal favourites are the Honey Mud and the Jasmine Garden. Good luck!

  9. Mel says:

Hi Nic, happy one to your blog!!
And thank you so much for this gorgeous giveaway!!
If I win I would get the Jasmine Garden from MLS or the body oil from Aurelia.
    Thanks,
    Mel xxx

    • caprinic says:

Thank you Mel! And both would be excellent choices 🙂 The aurelia body oil is simply lovely with the subtle feminine scent lingering all day. Good luck!

i’d never heard of this when i lived in sweden, but i’m glad that i can tell my friend about it and they ship internationally which is great!

    • caprinic says:

Alice & White is still fairly young, I think they’re into their 3rd year now so perhaps they hadn’t launched yet? It’s a fabulous store and my sister shops there frequently all the way from Japan 🙂 Good luck!

  11. healthylivingbeginshere says:

Congrats on your first blog anniversary, Nic! Love how you’ve incorporated your name in the blog title.I’d love to try the Pai skincare kukui collection.

    • caprinic says:

Why thank you! I’m quite happy that a part of my name is found in the word ‘organic’ 🙂 Like it was meant to be! Great choice and I wish you luck!

  12. anusha says:

Thank you for the opportunity . I am eyeing jasmine garden ,pai and Aurelia. So many brands on my ever growing lust list . And one thing I wanted to ask I have tweeted before you amended the giveaway rules is that OK ?

    • caprinic says:

Thank you Anusha! Some good choices! And I hear ya about the growing lust list 😉 I’m afraid I’m not sure how it works if you tweeted before the slight amendment…I would recommend checking your entries out and seeing if you’re missing anything. But I’m hoping it shouldn’t have been affected.

    • caprinic says:

Thanks Malin! The Mint temple balm is glorious, esp if you like Tiger balm and the relief it gives you 😉 I really like Pai’s serum, the calm one but I have heard that they’re not as effective on some people…skincare is always tricky as it’s so personal. Good luck!

    • caprinic says:

Aw thank you so much Alessandra! Your support and enthusiasm is felt right through to my heart <3 yes, shame but I hope to do another giveaway soon. So happy to connect with you too bella xx
